Oshkosh H-Series– Handle the most severe winter climate conditions

When you’re from Oshkosh, you know a thing or two about frigid, snowy winters. No wonder Oshkosh Corporation’s been the industry leader in airport and roadway snow removal for more than half a century. The Oshkosh H-Series family of equipment can plow, blow or sweep anything Mother Nature throws your way, powerfully and efficiently.

The H-Series embodies decades of Oshkosh know-how plus features designed in consultation with snow removal experts. People like you. Machines are loaded with standard features that make your work easier and more comfortable as well as options to customize equipment for your specific requirements.

It all starts with the Oshkosh H-Series Chassis.

You get unmatched reliability, critical because downtime isn’t just an expense. It can create havoc at your airport and close roads people rely on for work and play. The H-Series chassis is designed to easily incorporate a variety of plows, scrapers and brooms so your crew can tackle the problem at hand immediately and in the most effective way.

You can see what you’re doing, so you can avoid obstacles and work safely. The windshield has 40% more glass without corner posts, and it’s lower so you can easily keep an eye on attachments. There are rear three-quarter windows, and light bars are mounted out of the driver’s sight-line. The cab is exceptionally comfortable and convenient.

H-Series Blower.

This machine can throw up to 5000 tons of snow an hour, up to 200 feet away. You can clear your runways and keep them open, even when it’s pouring snow.

XF Broom.

This front-mounted sweeper removes snow rapidly and efficiently. Its power comes from a 2010 compliant 500 hp Cummins ISX 12 drive engine and QSX 11.9 Tier 4i broom engine. Optional weight transfer maintains weight on the front axle for even better handling and performance.

The Oshkosh Command Zone broom control compensates for bristle wear to ensure consistent sweeping. Controls can be custom-configured for your needs, and you can add optional ground speed control. The SIB cassette brush system reduces snow accumulation, and it’s self-cleaning. There are fewer spare parts, and changing time is short.

The 46” broom comes in 18, 20 or 22-foot lengths, with an external broom positioning system for safer, easier setup and maintenance. The hydraulic system is straight-forward, and you can achieve simultaneous broom lift and rotation. Operators will appreciate the interactive display and integrated joystick.

XRS-Extreme Runway System.

Streamline your work even in the worst conditions with this all-in-one machine. It’s a blower, a plow, a sweeper and an air blower. You can get the job done with fewer operators and a shorter conga line. And there’s only one piece of equipment to maintain.

The XRS features proven Oshkosh heavy duty construction, including 2010 compliant drive engine, specially-designed transfer case and axle and ALL-STEER system. You get a single-piece frame with corrosion-resistant components and Command Zone control system with self-diagnostics. The rugged, 2-stage blower head has dual variable-speed hydrostatic ribbons

This machine can clear up to 20 feet per pass, and it arrives ready for towed-broom operation.

Road Blower.

Sometimes the job isn’t at the airport, it’s on a remote roadway or mountain pass. The Oshkosh mechanical blower head is designed specifically for demanding, high altitude work, and planetary axles give you the massive power you need at very slow speeds. There’s an optional 700 hp blower engine. What comes standard is the legendary Oshkosh H-Series chassis that delivers unparalleled strength, durability and safety. You also get the latest technology and a cab filled with ergonomics and comfort treats to ease long, arduous days.

Travelers and pilots don’t care how you make it happen, they just want to get on their way. With Oshkosh H-Series machines at the ready, you’re on the job and clearing a path for them, whether that’s down the runway or over the mountain.
