Position: Equipment Receiving Associate
Location: East Syracuse, NY
Salary: $20-$23 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
A Successful Candidate:
- Receive and process all incoming heavy equipment, such as excavators, wheel loaders, compact loaders, rollers, compactors, and other construction, truck, and aggregate equipment.
- Inspect incoming deliveries for damages, shortages, or other mistakes, and communicate with the sales team to rectify any issues.
- Record and report any discrepancies or damage to the equipment.
- Photograph all incoming equipment for inventory records and update photographs for existing inventory.
- Upload all images to the computer system for use in online inventory management and for internal records.
- Operate and move various types of construction equipment within the dealership yard to ensure proper storage and handling.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accurate tracking of all assets.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory reporting.
Experience:
- Experience with heavy equipment, construction equipment, or similar industries.
- Ability to operate and move heavy machinery safely.
- Proven history operating heavy equipment, such as excavators, wheel loaders, compact loaders, rollers, compactors, etc.
Skills:
- Very safety conscious.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in inspecting and recording equipment status.
- Basic photography skills to capture clear and detailed images.
- Familiarity with Dropbox or other online storage platforms is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with sales and other departments.
- Ability to bend, stoop, walk, sit, stand, lift and carry for long periods of time.
