Hitachi and Trimble Team Up to Boost Loader Performance

If you’re in the market for a new wheel loader, you may be especially interested to know that Hitachi Construction Machinery Loaders of America (HCMA) has collaborated with Trimble to offer Trimble’s LOADRITE L3180 SmartScale technology as an option. The technology is available on all Hitachi wheel loaders sold in the US.

What can LOADRITE L3180 do for you?

Trimble says the LOADRITE L3180 SmartScale is an entirely new-generation loader scale platform, re-engineered to deliver smarter weighing, operator interface, and data management. New hardware and intelligent weight software make it easy for both experienced and novice operators to work more productively by loading faster.

The technology can make loading faster, more accurate, and more precise. It connects machines and devices, using solid-state sensors and weighing intelligence to capture data and sync it via the built-in Wi-Fi to InsightHQ reporting portal.

HCMA and Trimble say it’s all about the customer

According to Al Quinn, vice president, Operations at HCMA, “Combining the strength of Hitachi’s world-leading wheel loader technology with the accuracy and usability of Trimble LOADRITE scales enables customers to improve loadout productivity and efficiency.” Quinn says the collaboration is another demonstration of his company’s commitment to bringing customers the latest construction technology.”

Johan Smet, general manager of Trimble’s Aggregates Division, agrees. “Together, Trimble and Hitachi make it easier for contractors and aggregate producers,” he says, “by streamlining the order process for Hitachi machines with Trimble weighing systems.”

Trimble first introduced the L3180 loader scale at the Dimensions User Conference last fall.
