Position: Service Manager
Location: Queensbury, NY
Salary:$60,000 – $80,000/year
Job Type: Full-time
A Successful Candidate:
- Oversees day-to-day operations of a heavy duty truck and construction equipment repair facility
- Oversees WIP, making sure workorders are closed in a timely manner
- Monitors and minimizes comebacks by working closely with technicians
- Monitors technician write-ups for accuracy and detail for customers and warranty
- Works with foreman, technicians, and service writers to ensure proper shop flow and provide the best quality control
- Works with Warranty Manager to confirm all information is collected on workorders to maximize warranty reimbursement
- Works with manufacturer reps on OEM issues
- Responsible for ensuring the shop is a clean and a safe work environment
- Trains and mentors new technicians
- Conducts annual employee performance reviews and manages the team’s performance
Skills:
- Heavy Truck & Construction Equipment experience is preferred
- Three years experience in a supervisory or management position
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
Experience:
- Leadership: 2 years (Required)
- Heavy Truck or Equipment: 2 years (Required)
